  1. Pay-Per-Click Advertising

    Pay-per-click advertising (PPC) is an advertisement that you pay only when people clicking your ads. The most well-known PPC is Google AdWords and Yahoo! Search Marketing.

    When people search for a keyword in Google or Yahoo, they will see a number of ads on the side of the result pages that are relevant to the topic. This is where PPC ads displayed. Some webmasters also provide several space on their website, showing related PPC ads.

    By far, this is the fastest way to drive traffic to your website. Once your create your ads, you can get visitors in as soon as 10 minutes. As advertiser, you are actually bidding for keywords with other advertisers on the same keyword.

    The more relevant your website to the keywords and the higher your bid price is, the higher your ads position will be. Make sure you check the competition of your chosen keywords to get the best result without burning your budget.

  2. Ezine Advertising

    Ezine is basically a newsletter sent in electronic form via internet, mostly email. Each newsletter covering a certain niche topic which people are subscribing for. These subscribers expecting news, tips and other information related to that topic.

    The size of an ezine subscribers can range from a few hundreds to more than a 100,000; and some ezine publishers allow advertisers to place ads in their newsletter. Once a newsletter issue is sent, it will be delivered to the entire subscribers almost instantly.

  3. Banner Advertising

    Although banner advertising is almost neglected nowadays, it’s actually a very powerful traffic generation strategy. Some webmasters offer some spots on their website for advertisers to place their banners. Depending on the location and the attractiveness of your banner, you can ’steal’ traffic from that website.

    The first thing to do is finding the right website that offers banner ads space. The website must be related and high in traffic. Next, find out the location that is clearly visible for visitors, preferably above the fold. Lastly, design a banner that will stand out from the rest of the page. Using words instead of fancy pictures is proven to yield higher click-through rate.
