Be Like Phelps to be A Network Marketing Champion

Posted by Reyn | August 20, 2008

Do you follow the matches of Beijing Olympic Games 2008?

If you do, then I bet you know about the 23-years-old man who has caught the attention of the whole world with his 8 gold medals and broke 7 world records on the way.

Last Sunday, the US swimmer, Michael Phelps was crowned with the title of the ultimate Olympian for being the first person to ever receive 8 gold medals in one Olympic Game.

The amazing thing is - after 36 years, no one has ever collected more than 7 gold medals, a record that everyone thought unbreakable. But not Phelps.

Phelps declared his goal to win 8 gold medals even before the opening of Olympic. So, you should know how he went through everyday - meddling with pessimistic people saying that it is simply impossible.

He said: “Nothing is impossible. With so many people saying it couldn’t be done, all it takes is an imagination. That’s something that I learned and something that helped me.”

When I read what he said, it reminds me of the experiences of many network marketing beginners. As they entered the world of network marketing, they were dreaming of earning passive income that can replace their job soon.

Yet when their dreams are shared, all they got were negativity. “Who do you think you are? Yanik Silver?”, “Don’t do it, you’ll kill yourself of regret later”, “Just do the normal job and live a normal life”.

Sounds familiar?

Yup, it is definitely tough to live as network marketer. Apart from the misconception about network marketing that puts people to negative impression, many people are just couldn’t believe the concept of living financially free without working like dog.

As the results, you will rarely find agreement to your network marketing business. Let alone get the support you need.

So what should you do?

There are simply 2 choices. Either you quit right now or take everything you’ve got and keep on moving with perseverance.

If you choose the latter, then read on…

First you need to understand that you can’t possibly succeed if you don’t even believe in yourself. So think again, what makes you join network marketing in the first place? Can you see yourself achieving your financial goals with network marketing?

Unlike Michael Phelps, you are luckier as you are not the first one to attempt succeeding with network marketing. Many have done it and made it big time. Take their life story for example and inspiration.

If they can do it, so can you. The question is “how they do it?”. Never quit until you find the answer. Cause if you can answer it, then you are very close to network marketing success.

Unfortunately, this is the part where 97% of network marketers give up. When the going gets tough and no support given, people are bound to quit. Don’t let it happen to you.

Even when you have no one in your team yet, all you need is imagination. If you exercise your imagination enough, it will slowly become a belief. When you act upon strong belief, you are unstoppable.

Michael Phelps do not have a gold medal before he started the Olympic. Yet his conviction is strong: “My target is 8 gold medals”. He didn’t say “I hope”, “I wish” or “whatever will be, will be”.

So keep on dreaming of your network marketing success. Followed with consistent action and a never-give-up attitude, success is just around the corner.

“Dream big, dream as big as you can. If you dream your biggest dream, anything is possible. No matter what you set your imagination to, anything can happen.” - Michael Phelps
